Growing up, I can't remember a time that my father didn't have his Pentax on him. He loved composing. He loved creating. He loved taking pictures - especially of his kids. He appreciated the power of a camera, and he wielded that power often. Witnessing the importance that he assigned to the intersection of art and memories ignited a fire in me that has burned ever since.

That fire pushed me to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography, which I completed in 2010. I have always been a lover of education, so when I graduated, I launched myself into a career of teaching alongside my photography, and I later went back to earn my Master's degree in English in 2015. Rest assured that I will return, when time and life allow, and one day become Dr. Becker. For now, however, I am loving everything that all my "hats" have to offer. I get to make a lasting impact no matter what I'm doing, whether it be molding the minds of the future, preserving the fleeting moments of a family milestone, or raising my own children to embrace their passions as my father did with me.

This is what I hope my photography can do for you: save the moments that would otherwise be left behind. Record the history that time rushes past, preserve the feelings that memory alone won't recall, and give you a small, frozen bit of time to carry with you through the coming years.

If you're seeking pictures of the quiet moments, the candid and raw moments, the perfect and unperfect moments, then my photography is for you.
